K-factorK-factorThe sprinkler's discharge coefficient: flow = K × √pressure. A higher K gives more water at the same pressure. K5.6 (K80 metric) is the usual head for light and ordinary hazard.
TemperatureTemperature ratingThe temperature at which the glass bulb or link breaks and the sprinkler opens. 68 °C (red bulb) suits normal ceilings; hot spaces such as kitchens and plant rooms need a higher rating.
ResponseResponseHow fast the heat-sensitive element reacts. Quick response heads open sooner and are usual in light hazard areas such as hotels, offices and hospitals; standard response suits many ordinary hazard and storage areas.

ThreadThreadNPT is the American taper thread; BSPT (ISO 7-1) is the British taper thread. Match the thread to the fittings used on the project.
